A Day with Family

I got up early(8am) yesterday to go to a special art exhibit at the BYU Museum of Art with my mom, her sister, Joy, Joy's sweetheart, and my grandma.
The exhibit was called "Carl Bloch: The Master's Hand" and featured etchings, paintings and altar pieces by Danish artist Carl Bloch. They were mostly of Christ and similar subjects but some were of family and other scenes.
I was really touched by his work. The crowds were insane, especially since yesterday was the last day to see his art all together in one building. BYUMOA borrowed most of his art from private collections, European museums and chapels/cathedrals.

I want to make a habit of visiting the art museum several times per year.
After that we tried to make our way back to Joy's house in Pleasant Grove to have a snack before heading into the Salt Lake City area but we got caught at Hatfieldelphia, a private residence with a large property and several "neat" structures like a castle and mini-museum, and giant gorilla. It was recently sold to new owners and they had an estate sale where my mom spent $5 and Joy's sweetheart offered them $300 for $400 worth of stuff! We finally got back to Joy's house and unloaded, then while Joy and John(her sweetie) went back for a 2nd load, Mom, Grandma and I had a snack.
We eventually headed up to Murray to have lunch with my aunt Becky and her family. It was really fun to play with her two Scotties and the Golden Retriever.
Elizabeth(age 9) and I took the Retriever and one of the Scotties on a walk then we stayed at Becky's house for a few hours, looking at family albums.
We got home after 9pm and were pooped!
Speaking of, we immediately had to change a poopy diaper and powder a bright red bum.
Oh, what a day!!
